BASKETBALL BETTING ODDS
Lines/odds below are for Moneylines, Point spreads (Sides) and Totals (Over/Under) - for the complete game,
for each individual half, for each individual quarter. Point Buying is also available. Betfile's Sportsbooks also offer
a number of exciting proposition bets. For the most part these are displayed on the relevant sportsbook's website, and if not, certainly available for
viewing on signing up for an account.

We offer a wide range of markets on NCAA / college basketball and NBA betting - as well as
WBNA events. You can bet these lines via our sportsbooks. Some of our markets are as follows:
Points spread and totals (over/under) for each quarter.
Points spread and totals (over/under) for each half.
Points spread and totals (over/under) for the whole game.
Moneyline or straight bets for each game.
Proposition bets.
Points buying where you can reduce the pointspread for an adjustment in odds.
Points Spread Example:
The posted line is the San Antonio Spurs -14 at Minnesota Timberwolves +14 and the over/under total is 187.
The odds are -110 (USD 110 to win USD 100). Note: The odds are subject to change and may of course vary slightly from game to game.
If a customer bets on the Spurs at -14, in order to win his/her bet the Spurs must win by more than 14 points.
If the customer bets on the 'total' points (over / under) in the game to be "Over" 187, then the combined total final score of both teams must exceed 187. The opposite is true for the "Under" bet. If the outcome falls on the number, 187, then the bet is declared a "Push", and the stake refunded.
Pointspread and Total bets include overtime.
Halftime wagers work in a similar way but involve only the first half or second half
periods. Quarter bets work the same way but involve the relevent quarter on which the bet is placed.
Point Buying Example:
This allows the customer to improve the pointspread of a basketball game by "buying points" for the team he/she wants to bet, side or total. Players can buy points in 1/2 point increments up to 3 points, depending on the contest. Each 1/2 point costs the bettor an additional 10% on the odds or 10% 'vigorish' which is the bookmakers cut.
Example:
The Miami Heat are playing the New York Knicks and the line on the game is the Heat -11, with a total of 190. If a USD 100 wager is placed on the Heat -11 with a '1/2 point buy', the player has a wager on the Heat -10 1/2 points, but must put up USD 120 to win USD 100, instead of the usual USD 110 to win USD 100 - effectively buying his advantage on the points.
If the player requests a full 1 point buy to move the spread down to -10, he/she would have to put up USD 130 to win USD 100.
The bettor may of course buy points on the Knicks side instead, and get the line at + 11 1/2 or 12 points, with the same increase in vigorish.
Bettors may also buy points for basketball totals (over / under). The bettors could buy an "over" wager with a maximum line move down to 189, or an "under" wager with a maximum line move up to 191.
Point buying up to a maximum of three points (spreads) will be offered on all NCAA and NBA games.
Point buying will not be offered on quarter, halftime or moneyline wagers.
