Coleman Spends Time At Home
Marcus Coleman is expected to get back to practice on today, but whether he still has his old job back has yet to be confirmed. With four games remaining, Coleman finds himself trying to keep his job after breaching team rules and being left at home (Houston) for Sunday's game in Baltimore.
Coleman missed the Saturday morning walkthrough and coach Capers told him to stay home. Rookie C.C. Brown made his first start at free safety and impressed his with a solid performance. His one mistake, however, was costly. With the Texans in the midst of a blitz, Brown was left one on one with wide receiver Mark Clayton and didn't close him down. Clayton made a big catch on the crossing route to set up the Ravens field goal - which proved to be the game winner.
Nevertheless the coach was full of praise for Brown.
Brown was a 6th round pick out of Louisiana / Lafayette, he was strong safety for a while before he lost the job to Glenn Earl. Since then he has been on special teams mostly, with repetitions at free safety.
Coleman is having his worst season with Houston, without him, the Texans played their best game defensively.
