It's Miller Time
In an obvious passing situation, the Steelers' huddle is alive with chit-chat. Wide receivers want the ball, each insisting he will be the man for the job. Heath Miller says nothing even though he is second on the team with 19 receptions and third with 200 receiving yards.
The reason? First off he's a rookie, and many think rookies are supposed to be seen and not heard. But he doesn't have to say anything.
"I never hear Heath," quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said. "I just know he's going to get open."
The confidence and ability of this first-year tight end is showing itself more and more in games. Roethlisberger found him for both Steelers' touchdowns in a 20-19 victory against the Ravens on Monday night.
That puts Miller as the team-leading receiver with six scoring receptions this season, one more than Hines Ward. He has made the end zone at least once in each of his last four games.
