Bills QB Position Open
The Buffalo Bills are at 3-5 and could easily miss the playoffs for the sixth seasoncon in a row. They are spending their bye week reviewing all positions - including quarterback. It's unlikely, however, that the job would be handed back to J.P. Losman.
The Bills are 2-2 with Holcomb, who has thrown for 790 yards, has a team-record of 67.8 percent for passes completed, six touchdowns and three interceptions. His 92.0 rating ranks eighth in the NFL.
Buffalo stood at 1-3 under Losman, who did not manage any kind of consistency, connecting with 48 percent of his passes, for 433 yards, with two touch downs, one interception and a 55.9 rating - close to the bottom of the rankings at the time.
Still, Mularkey has left things open for when Buffalo hosts the Kansas City Chiefs on Nov. 13 at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
"It's really about what gives us our best chance to win?" Mularkey said. "That's why we did what we did before with the switch to Kelly, the same thing goes."
